• Ha intrapreso la professione diplomatica al Ministero degli Affari Esteri Saudita il 23.12.1963
• Trasferito all’Ambasciata Saudita in Islamabad (Pakistan) dal 1968 al 1977.
• Ha lavorato in diversi dipartimenti del Ministero degli Affari Esteri Saudita e come Direttore Generale nell’Ufficio del Vice Ministro degli Affari Esteri dell’Arabia Saudita dal 1985 al 1998.
• Elevato al rango di Ambasciatore il 17.7.1995
• Ha presenziato a numerose conferenze arabe, islamiche e del Golfo e a riunioni ministeriali tra il 1978 e 1998.
• Ha partecipato a innumerevoli seminari internazionali e diplomatici in Austria e Svizzera.
• Ha rappresentato il Regno dell’Arabia Saudita nel meeting tenutosi allo scopo di istituire l’Autorità Internazionale dei Fondali Marini (ISA) e la Corte Internazionale del “Diritto del Mare”, rispettivamente a New York e in Jamaica nel 1987e 1994.
• È stato membro della delegazione saudita nella 46esima e 50esima sessione dell’Assemblea Generale delle Nazioni Unite come rapprensentante del Comitato per la Decolonizzazione e Politica Speciale dell’ONU.
• Ha partecipato, come membro della delegazione del Regno, al IV incontro della Commissione Preparatoria della Convenzione sulla proibizione dello sviluppo, produzione e immagazzinamento delle armi batteriologiche e sulla loro distruzione, tenutosi dal 27 Settembre al 1 Ottobre 1993 all’Aia (Paesi Bassi).
• Ha partecipato alla Commissione dei 6 dell’Organizzazione dell Conferenza Islamica (OIC) riguardante la presenza dei musulmani nel Sud delle Filippine, nel giugno 1996 quando è stato siglato il trattato di pace tra il governo delle Filippine e il Fronte di Liberazione Nazionale Moro (MNLF).
• Designato Ambasciatore del Regno dell’Arabia Saudita presso la Repubblica delle Filippine dall’aprile 1998 al febbraio 2003.
• È stato insignito della Laurea ad Honorem in Scienze Umane all’Università di Mindanao nelle Filippine, nell’aprile 2001.
• È stato decorato con l’onorificenza di “Sikatona”- rango di Datu - da S.E. il Presidente Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, con una cerimonia al Palazzo Presidenziale a Manila, per il ruolo riconosciuto a  S.E. nel rafforzare le relazioni tra il Regno e le Filippine.
• Nominato Ambasciatore del Regno presso la Repubblica Indiana dal marzo 2003 al maggio 2008.
• Vincitore del titolo “Il miglior Diplomatico” a New Delhi, promosso dall’Istituto di Marketing e Management, nel 2006.
• Oratore in diverse conferenze in particolare all’Università di Jawahar Lal Nehru, di Jamia Millia Islamia e dell’università islamica di Aligarh.
• Partecipante attivo in numerose conferenze e seminari svolti in India.
• Ha assunto le funzioni di Ambasciatore dell’Arabia Saudita presso la Repubblica di Grecia il 17.9.2008 (mandato durato fino al 5 ottobre 2011) e di Ambasciatore non-residente presso la Repubblica di Bulgaria il 12.6.2009 (mandato durato fino al 5 ottobre 2011).
• Il 17 gennaio 2012 ha presentato le Lettere Credenziali al Presidente della Repubblica che lo accreditano come Ambasciatore Plenipotenziario e Straordinario del Regno dell’Arabia Saudita presso la Repubblica Italiana.

Conoscenze linguistiche: Madrelingua arabo, parla correntemente inglese e ha una buona padronanza dell’Urdu.   
Hobby:    Leggere, viaggiare, praticare sport.

Career:                                   

• Joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 23.12.1963
• Transferred to the Saudi Embassy  in  Islamabad  from 1968 till 1977.
• Worked in several departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and as General Director at the office of the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1985 to 1998.
• Promoted to the rank of full Ambassador on 17.7.1995
• Participated in several Arab, Islamic and Gulf summit conferences and ministerial meetings between 1978 and 1998.
• Attended several international and diplomatic seminars in Austria and Switzerland.
• Represented the Kingdom in the meeting held to set up the International Sea-Bed Authority and International Court of “The law of the Sea” in New York and Jamaica in 1987 and 1994.
• Headed the delegation of the Kingdom to the 7th Meeting of Member States in the Treaty on the Law of the Sea held at the headquarters of the United Nations in New York in 1997.
• Participated in the Kingdom’s delegation in the 46th and 50th Sessions’ meetings of the General Assembly of the United Nations as Saudi Representative in the Committee on Elimination of Colonialism and Special Political Committee.

• Participated in the delegation of the Kingdom in the 4th Meeting of the Preparatory Committee of the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons and on their Destruction, held during the period from 27th September to 1st October 1993 at the Hague (Netherlands).
• Participated in the Committee of the six of the OIC concerning the Muslims of Southern Philippines held in Jakarta in June 1996 in which The Peace Treaty was inked between the Government of Philippines and Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF).
• Served as Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of the Philippines from April 1998 to February 2003.
• Awarded the Honorary degree of Doctorate in Human Sciences by the University of Mindanao in Philippines in April 2001.
• In recognition of His Excellency’s role in developing the Saudi-Philippines relations he was honoured with the decoration of “Sikatona” - the rank of Datu - by Her Excellency President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo in a function held at the Presidential Palace in Manila.
• Appointed as Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of India from March 2003 to May 2008.
• Awarded “Best Diplomat” in New Delhi by the Indian Institute of Marketing and Management in 2006.
• Delivered a number of lectures especially in Jawahar Lal Nehru University, Jamia Millia Islamia University and Aligarh Muslim University.
• Participated actively in a number of conferences and seminars held in the Republic of India.
• Assumed his duties as Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Greece on 17.9.2008 (mandate which lasted until October 5th 2011) and as Non-Resident Ambassador to the Republic of Bulgaria in 12.6.2009 (mandate which lasted until October 5th 2011).
• On January 17 2012, he presented the Letters of Credence to the Italian President of the Italian Republic accrediting him as the Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Italian Republic.
